Match Play’s new premium plans

Match Play Events is introducing three new subscription plans. These are replacing the existing legacy premium plan.

Match Play Pro ($30/year)
This plan for tournament players unlocks detailed user stats, text message notifications (US/Canada only) and lets you upload a banner image to your profile.
Match Play Premium ($50/year)
This plan for tournament organizers unlocks all 11 premium tournament formats, tournament series, RSVP/tournament registrations and more.
Match Play Patron ($75/year)
Can’t live without Match Play? This plan provides the same benefits as the Premium plan but at a higher level to support ongoing maintenance and upgrades to the service ❤️

If you have an active subscription, it will not renew. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end date of your existing plan. Once your existing plan terminates, you must sign up for one of the new plans for continued access to premium features.

What do I have to do today?
You don't have to do anything today. If you wish to support Match Play you may sign up for one of the new plans, but there’s no obligation.
What happens to my existing subscription?
Your subscription will not renew. Until it expires, you will continue to have access to premium features for the remainding duration of your existing subscription. After that, you will need to select and pay for one of the new subscription plans.
How do I sign up for one of the new plans?
Head to your account billing page and click on the “Start subscription” button.
Why is the price increasing?
Match Play has had the same price since it launched way back in 2015! Today the platform offers 11 premium tournament formats (as opposed to the three it launched with), and server costs have increased substantially over the years. The new prices reflect the level of support needed to keep Match Play sustainable.
What happens to the free plan?
There are no changes to the free plan. As has always been the case, you can organize basic tournaments without paying anything. Your additional support is appreciated.
